My weekly step total is 83,631. So far I have walked 679,115 steps in the first 59 days of the year.

I've been worried about the accuracy of my pedometer. It seems to take longer and I have to walk further to get the 10k steps. For example, walking to and from the grocery store use to give me about 5k steps. Now it only gives 3k steps.

Maybe I am taking longer strides.

I've been doing the walks in shorts as my pair of jeans exploded. A few days were quite cold and I thought of cutting the walk short. My new pair of shoes is a half size small. They are too tight for socks. It is a "barefoot" shoe. They are washable and don't require socks. At least they are holding up well. My last pair of shoes barely made it a million steps.

Why do shoe sizes differ between companies? It makes it really hard to buy shoes online.
