First time placing an Order Online

For some time now I have been creating video contents on social media and one of the major challenges I faced was being able to produce something with a clear audio. The output I my phone normally produces is quite poor to begin with. I tried using other apps like ntrack studio and capcut to see if I can do some improvement on it. Ntrack studio was helpful to some extent. But when the phone I started using the app with started giving me issues I had to switch to another phone.

Unfortunately, the phone I switched to had a lower capacity than the former one and so was the performance on the ntrack studio app. I guess the apps output varies with the type of phone and specifics. After managing this for a long time I decided I needed to do something about it. I thought of getting a brand new phone but then I realized that the type I would have to get to give me the sound quality of recording I was looking for would cost me a lot more than my budget. So I decided to go for a microphone.

I searched at shops in my area that sell phone accessories and other related stuff but the microphone I could find there didn't look like the ones would give me the quality I needed and also the device's port didn't match with mine because mine uses android port (brush) while the device uses Type C. So I looked up on jumia the microphone the have available and I came across The Professional USB Microphone 3.5mm Wired Home Stereo Desktop Tripod MIC. So I placed an order for the product. It took about two weeks for it to arrive at my destination.

After unboxing the package I quickly connected it to my PC and tried recording. After recording, I played what I had recorded but I couldn't hear any output. What came straight to my mind is I had been given a fake product. I wasn't finding this funny at all. This was actually the first time I have placed an order online and this was what I got in return. Or could the fault be from my computer?

So the following day I began to look up some videos on YouTube to see if there was something missing or I hadn't got right. The first set of videos were not helpful at all as all they gave were just clips of unboxing the item and their personal reviews. Until I came across a video that talked about fixing your PC if the mic doesn't work on it. After following the steps in the video according, before I even got to the last step, I tried recording with the microphone and I began to hear the voice output. Now I was relieved.

Well, the result I got from the mic was a little below what I expected. But it is quite manageable and by far better than what I get using my phone. Now I can continue from where I stopped with my content creation.
