The Codex Protocol is a blockchain that tracks the identity and ownership of art. It allows artwork to be co-owned (ie, you own a portion of artwork) and provides an immutable history of that work. Currently lots of artwork still has paperbased records and identity documents which can be lost or easily forged.
The Codex Viewer is the portal to effectively use the Codex Protocol. In the viewer artists can keep their work in one place, be it digital art or photos of the physical art...
From those collections, artwork can be auctioned in the Codex Viewer and Auction Houses and/or Auction events can have their own portal.
