Cobra Kai My Thoughts

Taking a very, very simple original story and making it a hot mess, just burns people out eventually
to make a dorky joseph campbell ref, karate kid was literally a classic "heroe's journey" story
the sequels went south quickly
the remake is a classic "star cross lovers, dealt badly by fate" but it slowly accumulates this detritus and turns into a goddamn episode of "general hospital"
I legit do not care what boomer guy or lady shows up and has sex with other boomer guy, and after the second or third betrayel I do not care about the kids, they all jumped a shark 20 years ago and were driving their jetski on gasoline fumes
they were never very subtle, and forgot to attempt to be when they began shoveling coal on the fire.
The acting is still not the best and now that they are bringing a younger cast into it the acting and cringe is worse
I think s5 should be the last it’s kinda getting repetitive and though it’s doing good I think it should stop before it gets too far repetitive
Not sure if 5 will be the last season
