Beep, beep Roadrunner

While not as speedy as their cartoon relative the roadrunner can move fast when it's hunting. This one grabbed a grasshopper in flight while I was watching. They really are a fascinating bird to have around.

Our former neighbors in Albuquerque attracted a regular roadrunner to their patio by putting out raw chicken for them to eat(they are also great lizard predators).
