Breached Trust
Ever been betrayed before? Oh! I've had a fair share. We often hear the saying, what are friends for, or should I say, what are besties for? Well, my innermost response to the question is; friends are for lies, cheats and back-stabs. No wonder I do not blame those who say, 'I don't have a friend, especially from this part of the world, Nigeria.
Looking at the humane definition of a friend, a friend is someone who comes true for you through thick and thin, hence the saying, a friend in need is a friend indeed. However, when the reverse becomes the case, its heartbreaking. I mean, how can you have a friend who you almost never criticize abruptly, realizing it could hurt her feelings end up treating like trash and leaving you to your 'dungeon' all by yourself all because she's so full of herself? Its really disheartening. I see all these things around and feel pity but seeing such at my doorstep makes me want to breakdown emotionally.
How can you have someone you call a close friend, mock you in the face just because your shared your fears/insecurities with her. Thus, making you wallow even more in such flaws. People like that deserves double of their own medicine. They appear to be all perfect, showcasing the opposite of your flaws in a way to taunt you (purposively), after you have shared a few pain-stricking flaws to them hoping for their unconditional support.
In the end, they act so innocently after you must have noticed that they are flaunting against you, hence, acting like a sheep in a wolf's clothing. (Sigh...) Trustfully, no one is 'truly' your friend except YOU. You should be your biggest fan to avoid unnecessary setbacks. However, not forgetting the very few amazing people whom I like to call the 'God sent' who still stick closer than ever against all odds. I wish you all get the best things life has got to offer and a fountain of joy that never runs dry.
