‎Anytime I hear people talking about artificial intelligence and robots taking over jobs, I always find myself asking one question: What will work look like in the next ten years? Many professions are already changing because of technology, and some jobs are even disappearing completely. It makes a lot of people nervous about the future.

‎As a plumber, I have thought about it too.
‎
‎Will my job still exist in the ten years to come?
‎
‎But, I personally believe it will.
‎
‎Plumbing is not one of those jobs that suddenly appeared in modern era. But it has been around for generations, even long before computers, smartphones, and the internet became part of our daily lives. Every society has always needed clean water and a way to safely dispose of waste. And those needs have never changed till now, and I don't think they ever will.
‎
‎In my own line of work, I deal with real-life problems every day. A leaking pipe in someone's kitchen, a blocked drainage system, or a faulty water connection cannot be solved by a chatbot or an app. Because someone has to show up, inspect the problem, get their hands dirty, and fix it properly. That is where plumbers come in.

‎Even though, I know technology is advancing rapidly. New plumbing tools and smart water systems are making the job easier, faster and more efficient. I actually see that as a good thing. Instead of replacing plumbers, these innovations help us work better and makes our job neat. The way we do the job may change, but the need for skilled plumbers will always remain.

‎And another reason why I am so confident about the future of plumbing is that people will never stop building houses. New homes, offices, schools, and hospitals are being constructed every year. Even old buildings need maintenance and repairs. Pipes don't last forever, and water systems need regular attention.

‎One thing this profession has taught me is that every job evolves. The people who survive are usually the ones who keep learning and adapting. That is why I always try to improve my skills and stay informed about new developments in the industry.
‎
‎So, when people ask whether my job will exist in ten years, I smile and say yes. Because as long as people need water running through their homes and buildings, plumbers will always have a role to play. Trends may come and go, technology may continue to advance, but I honestly believe plumbing is one profession that will remain relevant for many years to come.
