THE BLACK SOLDIER FLY

Good evening and have fun with your respective activities, so tonight I want to share a picture of an insect object that I found a few days ago.

In my area, this insect has a unique name, namely "black soldier fly", based on the name above, I don't know why the name of this fly is like that, even though its characteristics are not similar to the soldier category. The scientific name of this fly is Hermetia illucens, this fly is active around dirty places while the other species are in the forest. This fly is not at all similar to an ordinary fly. This fly is too similar to a wasp as we usually encounter. In my opinion, this fly's favorite food is trash or other dirt, this is because these flies live around it. The body shape of this fly is long and its behavior is also very different compared to house flies.

This fly is not very aggressive towards humans, it's just that when I want to photograph it, this fly looks embarrassed or often looks away when I face the camera towards its face. Below are some pictures of these flies.

The characteristics of this fly are that it has a pair of wings that are half the size of its body and has six legs, three on the left and three on the right, and on its back, this fly is almost similar to the shape of the back of a black ant or the one we often find in rice fields. The color of this insect is black.
