Hikari! Love Potion

Following pretty much the same formula (and story) as Hikari! Clover Rescue, you play Yuuta, a pretty lewd character, who is taken to an alternative world now consisting mainly of women, and whom are now subjugated by the apparently evil Beatrice who has completely dominated the world with her magic.

With the use of an untested potion, supplied by the ex-princess elf Sophia, you need to turn Beatrice’s three main lieutenants against her by satisfying all their sexual desires.
If that sounds familiar, then you’ve probably played Clover Rescue…

That is the main problem with this game – whilst a decent story, it’s just really Clover Rescue (with a bit of Sacred Sword Princesses/Empire Of Angels thrown in), and a few changes here and there, although fortunately, this time the English is a lot better.

The protagonist isn’t particularly likeable - just merely tolerable, and as usual just has one thing on his mind.
Sophia is nice, but doesn’t really have much of a personality – she’s just like pretty much every other girl in other adult visual novels – there is nothing really interesting about her, and after testing the initial potion, all she talks about is love nests

Is there anything that helps make this stand out from the crowd ? Aside from being informed of when you make correct choice, there isn’t really anything unique or exciting.

Music is appropriately nice, but that’s about it. There are a few sound effects, but that’s about it. Characters (aside from protagonist) as partially voiced.
All in all, it’s a pretty bland.

For the price, it’s not bad, but if you’ve played Toffer Team’s Clover Rescue then you won’t really need this, as the two are more or less the same. It’s a very average game – there isn’t anything particularly unique or exciting about it.
