BBQ lamb chops. does it get any better than this?

We scored some locally grown lamb chops for our barby tonight. It was my job to stuff it up (which is what my wife was expecting).

So I lit the fire and got a good bed of coals laid down - nice dry pine, and then applied the chops.

This was not your city BBQ done on a gas burner. no, this was a bush BBQ with wood, and smoke (and the occasional twig on the chop I dropped)

The smokey flavour, combined with a bit of lemon drizzled on, and a bit of beer added as well, made for a delicious meal.

My wife is now curled up in bed with a happy tummy, and I'm about to head in the same direction.

And the lesson has been learned - the hubby can cook quite well in the 'wild'.

I think she'll keep me around, just in case of the zombie apocalypse.
