My Holiday Wish - Bringing Festive Joy to My Children
My Holiday Wish - Bringing Festive Joy to My Children
designed on canva
Christmas enchantment springs eternal as I watch my little ones' eyes twinkle seeing holiday decorations brightening our city of Lagos. In my heart, I nurture a special yuletide wish—to surprise them with a day overflowing with festive fun if funds permit.
I daydream of taking my children all the way to the new place called thrifttoy and more amusement park in Ogba. From a friends WhatsApp status some days ago I found the soft copy advert note where they talked about this particular place, I asked her to send me a copy of the flyer so I could take a look at it well, the I heard they have spectacular holiday packages starting at 10,000 naira per child. For that price, kids can enjoy dazzling light displays, carnival rides, face painting, swimming, even a chance to meet Father Christmas

To witness my children’s sweet smiles grow infinitely wider roaming that jolly wonderland. To hear their bubbly laughter watching the Santa circus performance while snacking on sweet cakes and cold drinks. Such a day bursting with joy and celebration would gift them magical memories for years to come.
Experiencing delight through my children's eyes as they fully immerse in Christmas enchantment reminds me of my most cherished childhood days when my parents would take I and my sisters to fun places where we would go have plenty of fun, I still remember those times when we would be given big tub of ice creams and we would finish it within seconds and my kids love ice cream, I haven't done anything like this for my kids as we always stay home during the festive periods. If I could even recreate a small taste of that nostalgia for my own little ones in this Lagos, my heart would swell with holiday spirit, even they would be very happy not to be hone on that day, but would be happy to have fun out of the house.
Truly, no gift or grand gesture could compare to simply making time for togetherness with family, ye is do know that family time cannot be taken for granted, but I just want them to have this feel of what it feels to be outside celebrating Christmas and if I had my way I would really do make it possible. Yet if funds did permit this mama's wish watching my darlings fully embody festive glee without any worries would be precious. Witnessing their joy firsthand would be the ultimate gift, A gift that would remain for years to come and even it will be in their memory, especially my son who can give an account of something he did or had in the past, this experience would be one he would recount to many that would give him listening ears, he has away he talks that leaves you captivated.
So as we count down the days this December, I’ll carry on smiling through quiet concerns and keep my twinkling sights set on thrift toy amusement park and more holiday magic sparking smiles across my children’s sweet faces. What a Christmas wish that would be.
