Covid-19: Telos4Africa Says Mask Up

It is not news that the corona virus ravaging the whole world requires a lot of efforts to stay safe, so as to reduce the infection rate. Some of the measures taken to ensure safety are:

• Physical or social distancing, meaning staying away from crowded places, and maintaining a distance of at least 2 metres from every body.
• Regular hand washing with soap and water. This is potent in disinfecting the hand and washing the virus away.
• Use of alcohol based hand sanitizers
• Use of face mask, which covers at least the nose and the mouth, which are two major channels through which the virus gains entrance into the body.

Many cities of the world are locked down as a measure of keeping healthy people away from infected ones, so as to control the spread. Another threat that this lock down measure poses is the threat to the economy, as many people are being plunged into poverty and hunger is on the rise. It is to cushion economic effect that the government of the Federal Republic of Nigeria has relaxed the lock down in the country, allowing business activities between 9:00am and 5:00pm daily.

To ensure safety during this lock down relaxation period, the least everyone can do is to keep to the preventive measures so as to remain safe. This is why Telos4africa says #maskup. Do not go out without putting proper measures in place that will guarantee your safety from this deadly virus.
