Dear Diary (children on board)-entry #2

My son made me cry and laugh today.

Zaid: When I get older, I'm going to take care of you
Me: Why? Because I'll be old?
Zaid: Because you'll be old. And you can't walk or feed yourself.
Me: Really? I'll be that old?
Zaid: Yes and you won't have anyone else because you don't have a husband. So, I'll buy you a bed and you'll stay with me and my wife and I'll sleep in the same room as you every night.
Me; What about your wife? Wont she mind?
Zaid: She''ll cook for us and I'll sleep in her room once in a while only, She won't mind
Me: She'll mind, Zaid
Zaid: Then I'll divorce her and find another wife who won't mind.
Me: She'll mind too

(Pause)

Zaid: Then you better find a boyfriend and get married before you get too old! Then, you won't be alone

I think I’ll wait a while before I tell my son that I’d like a rocking chair more than a bed and I plan to buy a shack by the sea and live there by myself
