Curing Disease, Delaying Death’s Grip
To overcome death, we have to cure diseases. Though this statement sounds a little bit embarrassing but there is a lot of truth in it.
Most of what we call death from old age is really the accumulation of specific pathologies in the body. You just don't die because you are 85, you die because there is one or two organs in your body, be it heart failure, metastatic cancer, neurogenerational infection and organ failure that occur at old age faster than in teenage people. All these discrete failures are what contribute to death at old age.
If you take that very seriously, then not dying becomes less about stoic acceptance and more about relentless problem solving, understanding the failure moods and intervening earlier can actually help to cure incurable diseases, find solutions to them and elongate our life the more. In this modern age, AI, multi-omics, synthetic biology and unprogrammable cells are actually helping to solve the problem of some crazy diseases that are so unbelievable to have. Aside from understanding them, there is a plan in place to cure many of these diseases and if these diseases can be cured, then the life expectancy of everyone is going to increase.
Now we might be seeing people reaching 100 to 150 in years to come if diseases has been taken care of. This doesn't mean denial, it means refusing to fossilize to the limitation as permanent reality. Humans have to get to work.
Why is that? Because if we did not cure all our diseases, then there is nothing else we can do. If we treat each other incurable diseases as a solvable engineering problem, even if the timeline is no longer our own, we can still find solutions to reach in the next generation that are coming. Then we'll start to see patients not just as someone that needs care but someone that we have to collaborate together to study what is wrong with them then find solutions to reach.
We have to accept our progress as a man that is limited by time and space and what we know. If all these things are well taken care of, to reach an innovation that can cure sickness and put death to shame is not far. What we just have to do is make sure we support frontier work and build a bit that keeps us out of all this avoidable dirt all around us by eating healthy and doing exercise properly as it should be.
If all this thing is done, you can get the base value of all this thing which is being younger as time goes on but that does not mean that you are shitting death. You can't shit death. No one has ever shit death in recent time.
