“When I talk, it's not a rant—it’s a symphony of ideas.” — Kanye West
Kanye West’s appearance on Joe Rogan’s podcast is a sort of Rorschach test. Some people listen and hear a crazy person while others listen and hear a genius. To me, it’s clearly the latter.
Kanye is like a modern Leonardo da Vinci meets Mozart meets Picasso meets Jesus. He could literally be the second coming of Jesus and the media is figuratively trying to crucify him.
Kanye says he heard God speak to him, which some people automatically use as evidence to call him insane. I believe he believes he heard God speak to him, though whether that was actually God or a creation of his consciousness is another matter—if there is a difference at all. Does it really matter?
If God exists and sent a prophet to Earth today, how would society react? Would it be any different than how they are currently reacting to Kanye? If Jesus was alive today they wouldn't crucify him, they'd diagnose and medicate him.
Kanye’s true genius lies in his creative thinking ability. He’s like a philosopher who hasn’t read any philosophy—he developed his insights all on his own simply by observing society and thinking deeply. In many ways he’s like Elon Musk, a first-principles thinker. He doesn’t take the way things are traditionally done for granted.
Also like Elon (and Trump for that matter), Kanye sets ridiculously massive goals for himself and stops at nothing to achieve them. He doesn’t care how many haters doubt him or talk trash about him in the media. He uses that as fuel and defies them by achieving his ridiculously massive goals. His fearlessness is a superpower. I would not be surprised if Kanye becomes president of the US sometime the future. I would certainly prefer him over Biden or Trump—or just about any other politician.
Many people hate Kanye because they claim he has too large an ego. But is his ego too large if he is actually as great as he thinks he is? Such an accomplished artist/musician/producer/entrepreneur of his stature should have a healthily large ego.
How warped is society that so many common people perceive generational geniuses like Kanye West as crazy?
“Telling the truth is crazy in a world full of lies.” — Kanye West
