2 - hour walking to the park and pagoda on New Year's Day

Hi all Hivers, Happy New Year to my friends!

I am in the most beautiful traditional New Year days of the year. This is the 2nd day of the lunar calendar and according to tradition, I often go to the pagoda to pray for good luck and health. Today I walked because the pagoda and park is quite close to my house. Let's immerse in the Tet atmosphere in Nam Dinh - my hometown

Tet is a time when everyone in the family gathers and gives each other good wishes. Unlike European countries, Vietnam celebrates Tet on the 1st day of the lunar calendar. On New Year's Day, people will go to temples or pagodas to pray for a good year.

Today the weather in my hometown is very cold, about 14 degrees. So I choose walking to both warm up and exercise after many days of high calorie intake

I chose Vong Cung Pagoda - a famous temple of Nam Dinh city. As a spiritual person, I believe in doing good as taught by the Buddhas on high, so going to the temple to pray is also a hobby of mine.

Vong Cung Pagoda has very beautiful architecture with walls painted red. During Tet, the pagoda is also decorated with many flowers and flags. The scent of incense is stretched to create a peaceful scene in the first days of the year.

After visiting Vong Cung pagoda, I went to Vi Xuyen lake. This is the main entertainment center of the city. There is a monument to Tran Hung Dao (a famous general in the past who helped my country defeat the invaders). It is the sacred hero of the nation. The monument is 14m high. Behind him are 14 flags representing 14 kings in the Tran dynasty.

The large hall gathers a lot of people having fun on Tet. Children and adults are happy to take pictures together. Everyone's face is radiant and full of joy

This is my first post in the Wednesday Walk and my first walking day in the year. Wishing all of you on Hive who are experiencing the traditional Lunar New Year a new year filled with joy and luck. I believe this year will definitely be better than last year
