3Speak Encoder Network Weekly Activity Report #9

Week 9

Hello, everyone.

Week 9 was a very active one for the 3Speak encoding infrastructure. Over 500 videos were encoded. The decentralized encoder network continues to process a high volume of videos thanks to the effort of community-run nodes that provide the computing power needed to keep uploads flowing smoothly.

As with previous reports, the goal of this post is to provide transparency, recognize the work done by encoder operators, and distribute rewards fairly based on real encoding output.

The data below is sourced from monitor.3speak.tv and compiled from two screenshots covering the full encoder list for Week 9.

Important Notes Before the Breakdown

• Due to Hive frontends limitations, only the top 8 encoder accounts (aggregated by account) can be rewarded as beneficiaries in this post.

• Some profile pictures and account names are not loading correctly in the monitor UI. In most cases, we can still identify the operator based on the encoder node name.

• For example:

  • Nodes containing sagar belong to @sagarkothari88
  • Nodes containing thor belong to @thorkellnft

• Some encoder nodes do not set a recognizable name. These cannot be reliably attributed and are excluded from rewards.

• It is very important for encoder operators to set their node name properly so they can be correctly identified and rewarded.

We will be updating the UI soon to improve identity visibility and attribution.

Infrastructure & UI Updates

We are aware that some profile images and account names are not loading correctly in the encoder monitor. We are actively working on UI updates to fix these issues and improve operator identification.

In addition, we will soon integrate the Direct Encoding section directly into the main monitor UI. For now, it is available here:
