Silent growth

Have you seen plants sprout and just thought this is amazing? It’s complicated and simple and amazingly all we see is a plant growing out of the dirt. If you think this is one of those inspirational and motivational posts then you’re right!

Growth is a beautiful thing it happens silently and patiently, day after day consistently. Many trees that give shade today did not start out as big trees, they grew over the years to be what tgey are now. So far I have been coming across posts here on Hive that stress on the importance of consistency and growth and it just struck me this morning how plants grow. It doesn’t happen in one day, so take a chill pill ( thats what i told myself mentally😂)

Another analogy will be babies, have you woken up one day and just realized that your child, nephew, or neighbors child has suddenly become grown? Yeah, because we don’t take a tape everyday to monitor their growth, we just let it happen.

So here are my thoughts; for growth to happen you have to

Feed Your Plant/Baby: growth wont happen without nutrients. Your dream won’t also grow without proper nutrients. This comes in various forms, it could be reading, it could be showing up daily to do some tasks, writing or anything that takes you one step closer tp your destination. When I started out as a grantwriter, I volunteered to help a consultant search for foundations for an organization in New York. She gave me an idea of what to look out for and I began my task. I got the list but it was nothing close to what she wanted. Of course we didnt continue working together and i was so distraught then. But i didnt give up. I kept learning everyday and now I know quite a lot.

Looking in hindsight, I now understand why she let me go and all the mistakes I made, and I’m so happy that I pushed further to learn and become better.

I just want to motivate anyone on here who is getting discouraged at their progress that littke progress is still progress so keep pushing and don’t let it deter you, it may take some time, but hard work always pays ❤️
