Piaggio has announced its new Vespa, featuring a fully electric motor that makes it one of the greatest classics of Italian industry modern and in step with technological progress.
The new electric Vespa, has a renewed design with a uniform body and finishes in several relatively bright colors. Technically, the new Piaggio vehicle incorporates an electric motor that delivers a maximum power of 4 kW, which can provide all its torque from zero rpm.
The declared range amounts to 100 km, with no particular differences between urban and extra-urban use, provided by the lithium-ion battery that also integrates a kinetic energy recovery system, KERS, that we know in Formula 1. Recharging can be done by connecting the vehicle to dedicated columns or to any wall outlet and is completed in about 4 hours.
The new Vespa electric can already be booked on the official Piaggio website and its official arrival is scheduled for next November. The price is €6,390.
