3 Things every man must do every morning
We are all made of body, mind and spirit and every day we have to use those three parts to continue our living. Let’s add here that every man should also have a morning routine. Routines are not for boring people, routines are the way how things are accomplished. And here are three things that every man, no matter his age, should include in his morning routine as soon as he gets out of bed.
1. Pray
Pray every morning so you can awaken your spirit. Be grateful of a new day of life in this planet and don’t waste that day. Make your prayers short but concise. Count your blessings, there are good things happening to you right now, be thankful for them. Praying improves your attitude, increase your lifespan, gives you hope and relieves stress, you will also feel more connected to yourself. So get on your knees, close your eyes and say your prayers expecting good things will happen to you.
2. Exercise
The benefits of exercise are incredible. Exercise strengthens your bones and muscles, can improve your mental health and helps your sleep better; you will always feel better after exercise. You will find also that almost all great men, men in power, and great thinkers had had some sort of exercise included in their daily life. Even just a thirty minutes’ walk will be excellent for your whole organism. After eight hours laying in a bed at night your body will need to be awaken and exercise is the way. You just need fifteen to twenty minutes at the most. Do some push-ups, stretch, do a little cardio, squats and sit-ups, then you can hit the shower. You will feel rejuvenated.
3. Read
There’s a healing power in reading. People who read on a daily basis tend to be healthier and have better memories. Great and famous men from the past, from Napoleon Bonaparte to Thomas Jefferson to Bruce Lee, all have been great readers. You will need to read a little also to awaken your mind after the lethargic state of sleep. Again, you’ll just need fifteen minutes at the most and it doesn’t have to be right after you awake; you can read after breakfast or on your commute to work. Some people start their days by reading the scriptures, other a chapter of the book they are reading at the moment, others the newspapers, so find something to read in the mornings that suit you. And if you don’t have the reading habit start right there in the mornings.
There you have it. Add this three things to your daily morning routine and you will be a step ahead of becoming the best version of yourself and the man you want to be. Awake your spirit by praying, your body by exercising and your mind with a little reading. Remember: routines are the only way most of the things in your life will get done, and if you don’t like to read do this: “Read what you love until you love to read”.
Take care.
The reading man.
