Today is gandhi jayanti which is the birthday of mahatma gandhi , annually celebrated on 2nd of October. It is a national holiday in india.
I took these pictures on the ridge maidan shimla.
Gandhi preached nonviolence, therefore this day is also known as International Nonviolence Day.
