Walking my Venus

Hey there!

This cat is pretty much the cutest thing I’ve ever seen. I talked about my cat Earl the other day, but Venus is usually the star of the show around here!

She’s the youngest of my cat brood, my most recent foster fail. She will be three this summer, an early August kitten that was born to a seriously feral and ferocious momma.
Rescued off the street by a friend of mine, Venus, her mom, and her 4 siblings came to live with me when the kittens were about 4 weeks old.

Pictured here is Venus looking up, my old boy Batman wondering “why mom, whyyyyy” as her siblings crawl all over him.

Her siblings were adopted in pairs, but Venus, always being very independent, more often snuggled just to the side of the rest of the group, connected with me like I’ve never really experienced before.

She was my soul cat and the thought of giving her up broke my heart too much to let her go.

I’m so thankful I’ve had her, no animal has ever brought quite this level of joy to my life before. And trust me, I LOOOOOVE all my cats! But this girl is something else!

She loves going for walks. In the city I would take her on leash and she always trotted along side, loving the adventures with her human mom.

Now that we are in the forest, she’s able to go outside to do her business, (one less kitty to clean up after) and absolutely loves walks through the trees with me!

If you’ve never connected strongly with a pet, I suggest fostering! No better way to find a pet that is meant to be with you, plus you’ll save who knows how many from terrible fates! I plan to start to foster animals again soon, just still getting on my feet here after this move. I’ll be happy once we are settled in more 💕
