At the Beach

Hey there!

I mentioned a while back about the cool ice formations around the ocean in winter.

It gets interesting here by the pond too, but the fresh water running to the ocean puts on a truly incredible display!

This is mostly grass and plantain that’s been sloshed by spring water which runs down over this hill.

The water then cascades down over these beautiful red rocks.

Love this place so much!

I’ve been coming here since I was a baby. It’s a spot mostly just known by locals, there’s a washed out, rickety looking staircase, I test it pretty good before hopping down there, it’s still holding ok.

The rock formations here are awesome. The red rock is only in a few places in my area. Some of it is brittle enough to break apart with your hands.

The weird green thing in the middle I mean.

They’re often playfully called a “mermaid’s purse,” but it’s actually skate, shark or ray egg sacks! They wash ashore year round, sometimes fresh, shiny and green like these and sometimes dried and black.

Such a stunning view.

It was windy and chilly though, so I was bundled up pretty good!
