Sometimes Too Much Light Steals Our Peace

Today in the evening I was scrolling on my mobile when a post suddenly caught my attention. It had a beautiful picture of the sky, with golden clouds spreading softly across it. Under the picture there was a line written which meant something like: when life becomes too full of light and noise, peaceful sleep slowly disappears.
That line made me pause for a moment. It felt simple, but it carried a deep meaning. Most of us spend our lives chasing brightness — success, attention, recognition, and achievements. We believe that the more light we have in life, the happier we will be. But sometimes the truth turns out to be the opposite. Too much light can take away the quiet moments that our hearts actually need.
While thinking about this, I remembered a small phase of my own life. A few months ago I was extremely busy. My phone was always in my hand, social media notifications were constant, and there was always something to check or respond to. Even when I went to bed at night, my body felt tired but my mind refused to rest. Sleep did not come easily. That was the moment I realized that the real problem was not the work itself — the real problem was the noise inside my head.
Under that same post I noticed a comment that felt very emotional. Someone had written a poetic line that said:
“Just like the son of Noah did not board Noah’s Ark, in the same way you were never written in my destiny.”
When I read that, it brought a strange mixture of sadness and understanding. In life, there are people we truly care about, people we wish would stay in our lives forever. But sometimes they simply are not part of our destiny. No matter how much we hope or wait, some paths are not meant to join.
I remember a time when I wanted something in my life very badly. At that moment it felt like everything depended on it. I thought if I got that one thing, everything would become perfect. But with time I slowly realized that maybe it was never meant for me. And honestly, the peace that came afterward was something I had never experienced before.
Right now the weather here is rainy and calm, and such weather naturally makes a person reflect on life. I feel that life may not actually be as complicated as we often make it. Sometimes all we need is a little silence, a little distance from noise, and a little simplicity.
Maybe real peace lives exactly there — in quiet moments, in simple living, and in a heart that has learned to accept what destiny writes.
