Last Night My Heart Heard a Truth
Hello @everyone greetings from my side.
Last night was a very strange night for me. My health was not good. I had a fever and my body felt very weak. Honestly, I did not even have the energy to talk to anyone. All I wanted was to rest and close my eyes for a while.
But somewhere inside my heart, a small thought kept coming again and again. I felt that if I did not call, maybe she would feel that I ignored her… maybe she would think that I did not care. That thought kept bothering me.
After some time, even with the fever, I forced myself to get up for a few minutes. My head was heavy and my body felt tired, but still I made that call. Not to talk for a long time, not to discuss anything special. I only wanted to make sure she would not feel bad.
Sometimes the heart makes small efforts that might look ordinary to others, but for the person making them, they carry a lot of meaning.
When she answered the phone, I simply told her that I called because I did not want her to feel upset. I did not want her to think that I forgot about her or ignored her.
But the reply I received was something my heart was not really prepared for.
She said very simply,
“No… no… I am not your beloved. I am just your cousin… a very good cousin… your best cousin.”
The words were simple and calm, but at that moment they felt heavy inside my heart.
In that quiet moment, I realized something about life. Sometimes we give someone a special place in our hearts, but in their world, our place is very different.
Maybe this is how life works. Feelings do not always travel in the same direction.
Still, the heart has a strange honesty. Even when it feels hurt, it does not regret caring. Because deep down it knows that the feeling was real.
And sometimes these small moments become silent stories that stay in our hearts for a long time. 💔
