Traditional art - SPAWN - comic page, with all the steps

Hello all!

Glad to announce that this is my first post on Hive after Steemit. Wanted to make it interesting with content so I packed up a full fan art comic page for Spawn. Photos are not of the best quality, had some phone troubles.

There is a step by step guide on how all this came to be to. It is my regular thing, guiding you trough the process :D

These are the steps:

The base pen sketch drawing of the page corner. Went in with some freehand lines.

Finished lines and zoom out. I was happy with how it turned out. Last frame was done, but the problem was that I miss the complete intro into that.. Soooo, I took a break for a day to figure it all out.

This was a whole setup, done with pen, ready to be scanned. After that, the ink! :D Ink part is always a favorite.

The ink part was quite easy and interesting, this was the part where the whole thing came together. Used an ink marker and brush for some parts, most was done with a thin ink pen marker.

Figuring out the colors, setting it all up for that huge red part.

Huge red part. Used a bunch of markers, experimented a lot here, did some shading and lighting effects, made it look a bit gritty and dirty like those 90s comics. Really like that particular era in a comic book industry, felt inspired.

Took about 3 days to get to this phase, 2 hours or so daily.

07 - Finale

This was really fun to do, a ton of tiny details, fixing stuff, adding stuff, making it look whole. The idea was buried somewhere deep in the hearth of a rotten city, a place that has no fixing, a dark alley that stretches throughout the whole urban area, near all the lights of billboards and flashy signs. There was crime, there was violence, and there was Spawn.
