FanDuel Account Progress Report

What's up, Pimps? I think this might be my first post to Paper in my Pocket, but this is some seriously #pimpshit that I got to share with you guys!

Prior to the Saudi Arabian Grand Prix on Easter Sunday, I decided to deposit $10 into a FanDuel account just for fun. I wasn't really expecting to win anything, and I normally don't bet or gamble at all because I don't feel like I'm the luckiest person out there by any means. But, I thought it would be fun to place a few wagers on Formula 1 and see if I could make accurate predictions prior to the race.

Thanks to a promotion, the first bet I placed won me an additional $250 in bonus bets, which allowed me to keep the profit from the wagers. The catch was that I only had a week to use the bonus bets or else I'd lose out.

So, I started looking up stats and predictions for the NBA playoffs to use my bonus bets and got to work. I don't normally watch sports besides Formula 1 and the GT World Challenge, so I was a little nervous, but I tried to just bet on the favorites and prayed that God would sort everything out for the better. And boy, did He deliver!

I didn't want to put all my eggs in one basket, so I ended up placing multiple bets on multiple games of the NBA Playoffs starting on April 24th, with the last of my bonus bets being used on April 27th. In total, I placed 13 different bets during that time and won 8 of them, which was really surprising to me!

April 24th – 3 for 5, $130 in bonus bets used.
Profit: $13.89, $5.21, $21.74

The only reason why I placed the bet on Karl Anthony-Towns to make 5+ three pointers during the game is because he went 3 for 3 in the first quarter, and I figured he could easily sink 2 more in the 3 remaining quarters. Which unfortunately, he did not.

I ended up placing a $5 Same Game Parlay bet on the Thunder/Grizzlies game, primarily because of the odds, but also because there were a lot of other people who supposedly placed that bet as well. This bet didn't end up panning out, but like I said, I wasn't really expecting to win any of these bets in the first place!

April 25th – 2 for 2, $35 in bonus bets used
Profit: $21, $13.89

To be honest, I wanted to place more than two wagers, but I didn't really like the odds on any of the other games. I was going to place a wager on the Bucks to beat the Pacers, but again, the return wouldn't have been worth the effort so I ended up placing a bet on Gary Trent Jr to score 35+ points.

I was using the same reason as I did with the Karl Anthony-Towns bet I made the previous day, and thankfully this one panned out and brought me a tidy profit of $21 off of a free $10 bet.

April 26th – 1 for 2, $50 in bonus bets used
Profit: $15.24

The 26th was a little different, because I accepted a promotion offer and placed a $10 bet on a Same Game Parlay (SGP), which would give me a refund token if I lost the wager. I did end up losing that bet, so I did receive the refund, which was then used on the OKC Thunder vs Memphis Grizzlies game a few hours later - which I also lost. All in all, I did lose out on $10 of my winnings, so if I had known that it was pulling from my profit and not the bonus bets, I wouldn't have done it but oh well!

After that, I placed 2 more bets on 2 different games, only winning one of them and bringing my stats to 1 for 4 with $15.24 profit for the day on a free bet.

April 27th – 2 for 2, $40 in bonus bets used
Profit: $22.80, $13.89

I ended up placing the last of my bonus bets on Sunday the 27th, placing two $20 wagers, one on the Knicks and the other on the Timberwolves. Both of these bets ended up winning, which was an awesome finish to the bonus bets I received!

After it was all said and done, my account value went up to a total of $125.58! That's a profit of $115.58 that I made from the original $10 I spent!

I honestly couldn't be more thrilled with these results, and praise God for providing for me!

As of right now, my plan is to withdraw $100 into my bank account, giving me a 10x return of my initial investment. The remainder of the winnings will stay in my FanDuel account to be used on future Formula 1 wagers, although I will not be placing any big bets or “last-second-decision bets” from here on out.

Even though winning isn't guaranteed, my goal is still to make slow and continuous growth in all aspects of life. So if I can make a few bucks here and there then cool, but if not, I really haven't lost anything at this point! I don't plan on making this a weekly post or anything, but I will provide updates as the season progresses!

That's gonna do it for this one, and thank you for stopping by! I hope you all have a great week!

God Bless, and keep on pimpin!
