This 21 Year Old Is A Pain In My Ass
Hindsight Is A Pretty Picture
I don’t mean to claim I know everything. This past weekend though, my rookie co-founder did something I saw coming. I just don’t think this guy is satisfied without self-pity.
I’ll explain. This entire founding process he meddled too much. We didn’t even have a budget to pay our graphic designer.
He still managed to make the artist create three different versions. Was he satisfied? No.
Then Came The Launch
The first launch was not his fault. OKX did say that the mainnet would be available on a date, the 27th of March, and it wasn’t.
That wasn’t the problem.
We spent almost 3 weeks from that point waiting ona him and the deliverables he took ownership for. He said he’d finish the website. He said he’d write the token contract, too. And of course, we just had to trust him, since he had an issue with the art, too.
It boiled down to a repeat of the last situation, us unprepared 2 days from launch. This was a situation we could have avoided, but still it ended up too close. Again, we were promised he would handle it.
You Can Guess What Happened
He wasn’t ready. The day we learned the blockchain would launch in 48 hours, we didn’t have it. It came down to the very day of, and he had to come out with the truth— he wasn’t ready, he needed more time.
This Guy Is Something Else
He pushed back the launch two more days. I told him I’d quit if he didn’t get it out. So he did, but I know he was just waiting to try one more stunt. He sure did.
While I was miles away attending my roommate’s wedding, he was convinced he had to refund the presale, because not enough people joined. It wasn’t decentralized. This guy says decentralized more than a Sunday infomercial about crypto. It’s frustrating. We were lucky to get 10 people who still remembered to follow us, bridge their investment, and send it to this address for the launch. We raised like $10,000. I wish I didn’t have to do this project with him. Genuinely, I could have done better by myself.
Now we’re indefinitely postponed while sets more unrealistic expectations. I just want to say, we don’t have another chance at this. If he messes this up again, I’m going to have my say.
