Sometimes... #DarkPoetry
Sometimes it's quiet on this end
Loud silence inhabits
The dark streets of this mind
Nothing can be heard or sensed
Where ink wells bled.
Sometimes the inner chaos
Get too anarchic
For the filters of this tired soul
To sift through the toxic energy
Leaking from within.
Sometimes it's the overthinking
Obsessive demons
Conquering the voice of reason
To shadow every thought
With a shade of doubt.
Sometimes this spirit gives in
Believing there's no battle it can win
Negativity washing over it
Just like the Holy Spirit.
Sometimes it's the audacity
To heal some painful feels
That keeps the dying flames burning
Regardless of the pressure caving in
From feeling so small.
Sometimes this human
Wants just to be a simple man
Cruising through this life
With minimal strife
Sometimes.
Sometimes I don't know what inspires me but this one is about how I have been feeling on the low. It is an emotional struggle to not sink into depression.
