Recently, Tezos Foudation has actively been trying to engage with education to strengthen its ecosystem.

1.Tezos Korea Foundation and Yonsei Univ signs MOU

On Nov 20th in Seoul, Tezos Korea Foundation and Yonsei University one of the prestigeous universities in Korea have singed MOU for the purpose of blockchain coorporation and education.

If compiling from source, please pull the latest code from the mainnet branch. From a clone of the git repository, a minimal update command is

git checkout mainnet && git pull && eval $(opam env) && make build-deps && make.

Tezos binaries (node, client, baker, endorser, etc) should not be running while you re-compile. If using the script mainnet.sh based on docker provided at https://gitlab.com/tezos/tezos, simply do ./mainnet.sh restart as every call to mainnet.sh checks for updates and updates if necessary.

Previously this week, Japanese banking giant Sumitomo Mitsui(SMBC), the Ethereum Foundation, and the University of Tokyo jointly announced an education course, dubbed “Blockсhain Innovation Donation Course,” in the university’s graduate school of engineering.

2.An important patch addressed, Hurry!

All bakers should patch Right Now due to prevent dust account creating spams and error handling properly.

Patched nodes will activate automatically at block height 204762 after Monday Nov 25 17:30 UTC.
