"Poetic Justice simplified"

In the mood of fulfilling my promise of talking about Poetic Justice, is why this post is made.

Let's get to it:

Poetic Justice is one of the literary devices that creators of different literary and other creative works use to appeal to the emotions of the audience.

Have you ever watched a film or read a book and you felt, Yes! the character(s) deserved what they got, be it good or bad? You most likely would have.
That feeling is a function of the Literary Device called Poetic Justice.

Poetic Justice as the name 'Justice' Implies is when a character gets the result(s) of their action(s); that is if they do good, they get/see good, and if they do bad, they will see/get bad.

We can even call it that literary device that propagates the ideology of Karma, in that whatever you do has it results awaiting you.

According to literarydevices.net, Poetic Justice is defined as the literary device that shows the good characters rewarded and the bad characters punished by fate.

That's why the likes of Osita in Akwaeke's "Death of Vivek Orji" was burdened with Heavy Emotional guilt for accidentally killing his cousin, lover, the likes of Pa Eugene in Adichie's "Purple Hibiscus" ended up dying for tormenting his whole family with his fanaticism, and the likes of Tobias in the book Of Tobit; a Deutrocanonical book in the Bible to finally get married to Sarah, and even got wealthier and his father's sight returned cos of his good deeds of charity to his community.
