Saved By Art
I have been wanting to explore an industrial location lately, and the number one place on my list is this abandoned steel rod mill. A location that I have explored several times already but there is so much to it. That every visit would have more finds.
As I approached the building from the back, more boards on windows graffiti were very visible. I worried of how much the untouched location has been damaged (I have been going there for 2 years and nothing had ever changed). I walked around the building checking out the artwork and finding all of the entry points completely sealed up. The murals are very cool! So at the very least the trip would be saved by art!
I couldn't believe how sealed off the building has become and was left wondering what could have happened to draw that much attention. Then as I reached the front and saw why, visible fire damage in the office building!
Also found signs saying 24/7 on site. It really sucks when they locations get found by other people! Once they are, it takes very little time for them to be destroyed by vandals, thieves and/or burnt down. I really hope this one has not been destroyed inside! This is what it looked like:
