Scratch-board Skull
This piece was done on clayboard, which is basically the same as scratchboard but without the black ink coat. Instead I brushed in the black ink myself and then scratched the image afterward. This also allows for going back over the scratched areas with more ink if you want to fix something or crosshatch over your scratches.
I gave the final piece a gloss coat and you can really see the texture of the scratches in this final photo.
A very fun medium!
The colors were done in photoshop after scanning.
As with all of my posts, the images are MUCH larger and higher quality than they appear in Steemit so open them up in their own window for a better view!
