When the quiet turns audible
There are moments when emotions feel quieter than a whisper, yet somehow heavier than silence itself. This portrait feels like that space—where the eyes are hidden, the mouth unspoken, but the weight within is impossible to ignore.
What I see here is not weakness, but a kind of raw stillness. The type that comes when you’re carrying more inside than words can stretch to hold. We’ve all had those seasons when the loudest noise in the room is our own heartbeat, and yet no one else seems to hear it.
For me, this artwork reminds me of those unseen tensions—of how much we keep hidden, and how much we burn beneath the surface. It’s the quiet fire, the one that doesn’t scream, but smolders. And sometimes, that’s the flame that truly reshapes us.
I chose to share this in The Flame because it speaks of that subtle fire—personal, unguarded, and deeply human. Not always loud, not always bright, but always there.
