RULESETS & MANA CAP

💠 Noxious Fumes : All Monsters start the battle poisoned.
💠 Earthquake: Non-flying Monsters take 2 Melee damage at the end of each round.
💠 Mana Cap : 23

Usually when encountering battle with mid value mana cap like this, I'd not use Dragon deck, but because of the tricky rulesets, I need to use the infamous Brighton Bloom to evade one of the rulesets, the earthquake.

Here's how I came up with this lineup, chronogically:

💠 Brighton Bloom to deal with the Earthquake ruleset.
💠 Kron to deal with Noxious Fumes ruleset.
💠 Next I was trying to find monsters with proper health, again to deal with poison ruleset. Hence Manticore and Orc Sergeant with 6 Health were chosen.
💠 Furious Chicken is a must to prevent 1 extra attack.
💠 Lastly, I positioned the monsters accordingly. Manticore and Orc Sergeant both have Reach ability, but I ended up using Manticore as tank, because it has higher speed and also Flying ability. Then Kron will be protected from Sneak by the Furious Chicken on the last position.

Let's take a moment to compare my lineup and the opponent's lineup:

💠 Amount of monsters, I have 4 monsters and he has 6 monsters.
💠 Amount of healers, I have 1 and he has 4 (2 self heal, 2 tank heal).
💠 Amount of Legendaries (eventhough not a winning factor, but still..).
💠 Amount of potential attack points, I only can dealt 5 attack, while he has potential to hit 8 attack points.

Based on those points, I was very skeptical to win this battle.

THE BATTLE

Round 1 started with a heavy heart that I already thought I will lose, but still want to watch through the battle.

As expected with this rulesets combination, by the start of Round 2, most of our monsters already gone, either because of the Earthquake, or because of he Poison.

Unexpectedly, most of the opponent's attacks missed because of the Flying abilty. By the start of Round 3, things are looking very good for me. The only monster he has left was Spirit of the Forest, and being a Range monster, it couldn't do anything but heal.

Kron ended the battle with maximum health, and proved his Undying nickname once more time.

Nowhere in my mind I was going to win this battle. Now I know Flying abilty do matters a lot in a battle like this. If the mana cap was a bit bigger, I'd have used another Dragon Summoner and also Dragon Monsters, as they tend to have Flying ability ready on the go. But for smaller mana cap like this, Brighton Bloom will be always the first choice.
