Artificial skin - Future of dentures?

Dentures are getting better, more precise and more efficient, but they still lack a lot of natural limbs, also in terms of feedback from all the senses in our hands or legs. Researchers at the University of Colorado at Boulder have created artificial skin that solves this problem.

The electronic skin created by American engineers, made of polyimine filled with silver nanoparticles (thanks to which it is durable, stable and conducts current), can feel pressure, thanks to which the prosthesis is to let you feel the touch, but not only because it has temperature sensors, humidity and air movement, thanks to which artificial limb constructed using it is to be not worse than natural one.

But its creators also see a different use for it - robots equipped with sensitive limbs will be more delicate for people, and soon - in the face of the rapid development of artificial intelligence - machines can be even more ubiquitous in our lives.

The breakthrough is also the fact that artificial skin can heal, it is enough to add a bit of alcohol (and therefore just like a human soul), which breaks down polymer bonds, allowing them to bind themselves again by sealing the losses. And in addition, it is fully recyclable.
