Joker in Marrakesh

Jamaa Lafna Marrakech, Morocco: During the day, it is mainly operated by orange juice kiosks, water vendors carrying leather water bags and traditional copper cups, and young men with barbarian charm monkeys and chained snakes despite their protected status under Moroccan law.

As the day progresses, animation changes: the magic of snakes departs, and at the end of the day, the place becomes more crowded, with Chleuh dancers (going against the custom that girls offer such entertainment), and storytellers (telling their stories in Berber or Arabic, to an audience  Local), witches and street vendors of traditional medicines.  When darkness falls, the square is filled with dozens of food stalls where the number of people in the field peaks.
