in the 'not a surprise move' it appears that facebook has launched a direct competitor to the recently aquired musical.ly now called tiktok. it's an obvious move really because there is so much data generated there of what's cool and interesting to that age demographic and i'm sure it's where the new influencers and agencies will come together.

Facebook describes Lasso as an app that "makes it easy for anyone to create and share short videos with fun effects." The app will allow users to follow other creators, search for content using hashtags and create new, short videos using a suite of creative tools

of course it's nothing new but you would like to think that they have the engineering team and stable platform to at least give a decent experience, if they can break the tiktok stranglehold thou that's doubtful as users really don't have a reason to move.
