Will Tesla Create Its Own Language Model?

There was a Wall Street Journal article which Elon Musk denied claiming that Tesla was paying XAI for access to the LLM. This might not be the case now but we are going to see these models in cars and robots.

So if Tesla isnt getting it from Grok (now), what is the story?

In this video I lay out the two options. The first is that it might be a timing thing and they will license in the future. Another, which I have not heard proposed is that Tesla could simply build their own.
