Automotive Operating System
The idea of a computer on wheels is starting to shape up. This is one of the main drivers behind my view that we are going to see two automobile manfacturers in the future: Tesla and the Chinese companies.
In this video I discuss how software engineering is becoming paramount and is what is providing these entities major leads over legacy auto. This is truly horrific for the Germans who lack the technology in this area to compete. The US, China, and Japan are better positioned although not necessarily within the individual companies.
