Awesome Don Chedi Royal Monument, in Suphanburi province, Thailand
If you love to study history, I would suggest you visit Don Chedi Royal Monument in Suphanburi province. (not far from Bangkok)
Don Chedi Royal Monument consists of Yuthahatthi Chedi (pagoda) and monument of King Naresuan.
The Yuthahatthi Chedi was built with a large round Sri Lankan style in white color. It’s used to celebrate the victory of King Naresuan the Great in the Yuthahatthi War between Thailand and Myanmar in the past.
Inside the Yuthahatthi Chedi, there is a room that displays history, including light and sound shows and hundreds of models of Myanmar and Thai armies. It is considered to be a place for both knowledge and enjoyment.
The monument of King Naresuan the Great riding an elephant into battle looks awesome and it’s said to be a symbol of pride and victory.
Next to the monument, there is the magnificent golden statue of King Naresuan the Great which people often come to pay their respects to.
