Another Bitcoin Obituary

I have little respect for the Huffington Post, and today's news has done nothing to improve its reputation.

A new article, entitled Bitcoin, The Bell Tolls For Thee is the latest in a long line of bitcoin obituaries. And, like those before it, it is spouted by old guard "experts" who take it upon themselves to judge every new technology by how it complies with the world before 1990.

The fact that other cryptocurrencies are finding audiences is a good thing. I don't think Ethereum will go particularly far, especially considering recent events (though I do own a small amount), but all the same, its inclusion in Coinbase is to Bitcoin's benefit.

We musn't forget, after all, which blockchain that Ethereum ultimately runs on.
