character and personality it is not the same thing

Its been a while I didn’t write and share something in my wall. Life without bustle is boring right? Guess what, this weekend I’m on duty again

Anyway, i steal my tea time, just quick one to share about character. What do you guys understand about character?can we say someone has a good character must be a good personality too?

I’m inspired to share about character after doing my devotion today morning (bible reading) as usual before taking shower, I read the book of Numbers chapter 12. Story where Miriam speaks about her brother Moses - She is afflicted with leprosy, and sent out of the camp for seven full days.

Many of us (Christian) are familiar with this story, and know who is Miriam. She was a teacher who led by example. ( While Moses and Aaron were leaders for all the people, Miriam was the leader of the women )

Although character is related to personality, but it is not the same thing. Personality primarily consists of inborn traits, while character consists of learned behavior.

Character is not something which exists at birth, it is formed gradually, over the years. You can see in children: they have a temperament / personality but not yet a character.

Miriam is a woman who has reached the highest position. A very special position, a position entrusted by God to her. But because of envy, she underestimates the decision of her leader. If you read the story of Miriam from the beginning, she has a strong character but she died before her people entered the Promised Land.
