Dancing Nymphs - Dana - 3D Model
Hello Everyone.
I'd like to make a small change of theme (my previous models were of space-aliens).
We are getting back from deep space down to earth.
I am working on a 'Dancing Nymphs' Scene. It is loosely based on Joseph Tomanek's 'Nymphs Dancing to the Pans Flute' painting.
The plan is to have a few nymphs dancing in a circle around a big bonfire. I would like to have at least a few different ones so I can form a circle out of them. I am aiming at 8, and will share my progress as I go.
I want to make each of them different and give each one an unique look, character and name.
It took me a while to come up with a name for the first one. I was considering Celtic and Slavic sources, but couldn't make my mind. I settled for Dana, as it makes sense both as a Celtic and Slavic name.
The goddess Dana, also called Danu, was the Mother Goddess in Celtic Mythology, as a Slavic name the word could mean 'given', 'gift' (from God) or 'day'.
There are also many different etymologies for this name coming from many different languages and cultures.
