🚚 Travel Log: A Delicious Meal to Recharge... Before Heading to Koh Phangan 🏝️
Hello, my lovely friends! 🛻🫰🏻
🛳️ Today is another important day for our family. After taking care of my husband's mother and fulfilling our responsibilities, it's time for us to relocate back to Koh Phangan to care for my aging parents. It's a chance to be good children in our familiar hometown.
This move was chaotic but joyful. We started early in the morning, busily packing boxes and loading everything onto the motorbike – clothes, equipment, and most importantly, our little ones! We have a cat, four bird cages to carefully pack in the front, and a gang of three Sulcata tortoises occupying the back. It was truly a family move!
🥗 A Delicious Lunch at Robinson
Before our long drive to Surat Thani, we stopped to refuel at Robinson Department Store. For this meal, we indulged in our favorite Isaan food – just looking at it makes our mouths water!
Spicy Papaya Salad with Crab and Fermented Fish Sauce: The flavor was intense, with the authentic aroma of fermented fish sauce. The crispy papaya strips were perfectly mixed with chili and seasonings, resulting in a balanced sweet, sour, spicy, salty, and savory flavor.
Minced Pork Larb: The fragrant roasted rice powder combined with tender minced pork was perfectly seasoned and delicious, especially when eaten with fresh vegetables to balance the richness.
Grilled Chicken: Golden yellow with crispy skin and tender meat, served with a delicious spicy dipping sauce – an absolute must-have!
To finish, we had a refreshing Singha Lemon Soda to quench our thirst and get us ready for the long road trip.
This meal wasn't just about filling our stomachs; it was a meal of happiness where my husband and I could have a short chat before embarking on our long journey. The familiar flavors of the food prepared us for the road ahead.
🚢 Heading to Don Sak Pier
After a satisfying meal, we headed to Don Sak District, Surat Thani Province, to catch our pre-booked Raja Ferry. I was slightly surprised to see the ticket price had increased (just a little), but the excitement of seeing the azure waters of Koh Phangan outweighed the surprise.
Thank you to all my friends who have followed and supported me during this move. A new journey is about to begin, and I will share beautiful photos from Koh Phangan with everyone in the future. For today, I must say goodbye. Thank you for your continued support ❤️
