¡Hola a todos los amantes del arte! Vengo a mostrarles uno de mis dibujos favoritos, ya que es bastante colorido y a mi me encantan los dibujos de éste tipo. Está basado en la película Los Mitchells Vs Las máquinas, más específicamente dibujé a Katie Mitchell, quién es la protagonista del filme y cuenta con una personalidad e imaginación bastante enérgica. Me encanta mucho ella. Recopilé el proceso en un vídeo. Si no pueden verlo, a continuación les hablaré un poco de la realización del dibujo.

Hello to all art lovers! I come to show you one of my favorite drawings, since it is quite colorful and I love drawings of this type. It is based on the movie The Mitchells Vs The Machines, more specifically I drew Katie Mitchell, who is the protagonist of the film and has a very energetic personality and imagination. I love her very much. I compiled the process in a video. If you can't see it, then I'll talk a little about the making of the drawing.

Para comenzar, elaboré el boceto con un portaminas en una hoja de papel. Quería enfocarme más que nada en la utilización de los colores, así que opté por realizar un dibujo sencillo. Una vez que obtuve más o menos el diseño que tenía en mente, lo delineé con un marcador punta fina de color negro y borré los rastros de grafito.

To start, I made the sketch with a mechanical pencil on a sheet of paper. I wanted to focus more than anything on the use of colors, so I opted for a simple drawing. Once I had more or less the design I had in mind, I outlined it with a fine tip black marker and erased traces of graphite.

A la hora de pasar a los colores, inicié con Katie. Utilicé unos marcadores, sobretodo el color rojo para el cabello y el suéter. Para pintar su piel y las sombras, usé crayones de madera.

When it came to colors, I started with Katie. I used some markers, especially the red color for the hair and the sweater. To paint her skin and shadows, I used wooden crayons.

Una vez que acabé de colorear al personaje, pasé al fondo. Una de las cosas que más me gustaron de la película, fueron sus fondos. Así que quería imitar un poco el estilo. Comencé pintando un arcoiris, haciendo unas cuantas curvas con marcadores fluorescentes. Para las letras de abajo, traté de copiar el estilo de las que salen en la película.

Once I finished coloring the character, I moved on to the background. One of the things I liked the most about the movie was his background. So I wanted to mimic the style a bit. I started by painting a rainbow, making a few curves with highlighters. For the lyrics below, I tried to copy the style of the ones in the movie.

Para elaborar las letras blancas y los detalles de luz, utilicé pintura acrílica con un pincel.

To make the white letters and light details, I used acrylic paint with a brush.

Una vez hecho esto, hice unas cuentas figuras con marcadores para el fondo. El color blanco de la hoja de papel permite que el dibujo resalte bastante. De verdad me gusta mucho cómo quedó.

Once this was done, I made some shape beads with markers for the background. The white color of the sheet of paper allows the drawing to stand out quite a bit. I really like how it turned out.
