What Do We Really Know About Steemit, Inc?

Not much. It is after all a private corporation without any of the reporting requirements that a publicly-traded corporation would be subject to.

The most basic question is Who owns it?

We have no idea.

We can guess that initially it was owned by dan@dan, ned@ned, and one or more investors (family, friends, VC).

After dan@dan and ned@ned had their falling out, what happened to dan@dan’s interest in the corporation? We have no idea.

And who might those other investors be and what percentages of the corporation might they own?

And who exactly is freedom@freedom?

It’s worth noting that dan@dan was the 496th account created, ned@ned was the 497th, and freedom@freedom the 499th suggesting that freedom@freedom is very much an insider. I don’t know how to query the blockchain and search by ID number, but would be curious about 498.

Does freedom@freedom possibly have a significant stake in Steemit, Inc?

Does someone with an NSA background have a controlling interest? (Not entirely a rhetorical question.)
