This is Geumpang District is located in Pidie District, Aceh Province.
Administratively, Geumpang District is divided into 5 villages, plus one transmigration area, SP 5, which was abandoned by residents during the conflict. According to 2000 Census Data the population reached ± 5000 inhabitants.
