Golem Overlord is on fire! Battlepass Released

After weeks of working in the background, the developer of Golem Overlord, Yixn, has once again ramped up game development by releasing a series of significant updates. From the initial plan of releasing boss fights, Yixn decided to shift the focus to expeditions instead.

From the initial images dropped in the Discord chat, the expedition project looks like a tile-based rogue-like adventure with risk-reward dynamics. It might have similar mechanics to various games of the same genre.

In preparation for that, a new expedition tab interface was released with some new character stats like life, forge stones, luck, food, and golem. There will also be advisors that will be available. They provide various bonus effects during expedition runs and they will come in different rarities.

A teaser for the loots that you can obtain from expeditions can also be seen in the bottom part of the page. These items provide stat boosts as well as various effects.

BATTLEPASS RELEASE

And with that, Golem Overlord has released today its newest feature, the Scout Master Claim Pass.

This promotion will run for 30 days and costs 500 SHARDS per account. Throughout the battlepass cycle, you can have a total of 14 account-bound scouts that can be used once. One will be claimed instantly while the remaining 13 can be obtained each time you make a claim. Their effect varies from claim cooldown reduction, higher steal rate, and higher chance to defend, among others.

Since they are consumables, these scouts will be used strategically especially for higher level accounts. As of the time of writing, just about two hours into the promo, 54,000 SHARDS have already been burned by this event. And with the SHARD production rate significantly reduced, the token might catch some upward momentum soon especially when other features leading to expedition are released.

Golem Overlord is shaping up to be one of the more exciting projects in the Hive platform. It's amazing to think that one developer made all of this from the ground up.
