AFRITUNES WEEK 197 - COVER OF HAUSA MEDLEY:
Greetings to the AfriTunes family and everyone in the house. It is a great privilege to be here once again for AfriTunes Week 197, and I am excited to share a Hausa gospel medley that was inspired by deep moments of reflection, gratitude, and hope in God. This medley is a combination of three songs that came from personal experiences and spiritual convictions, expressed through music in my indigenous language.
The first song in this medley is “Ka Isa Yabo,” which means “You deserve the praise.” This song was inspired by moments when I paused to reflect on God’s faithfulness in my life. I realized that many times we focus on what we are yet to receive, forgetting the countless blessings, protection, and grace we already enjoy. This song came from a heart of gratitude, acknowledging that God deserves praise in every season, whether in joy or in waiting.
The second song, “Sunan Sa Yafi Dukan Sunaye,” translating to “His name is greater than all names,” was inspired by life’s pressures and challenges that often try to overshadow our faith. During moments of uncertainty, I found strength in reminding myself that no situation is bigger than God. This song became a declaration of faith, affirming that the name of God carries ultimate authority and power above every other name.
The final song, “Chan Sama Zamu Zauna,” meaning “Heaven is our dwelling place forever,” was inspired by reflections on eternity and the temporary nature of life on earth. This song speaks hope and comfort, reminding us that beyond our present struggles lies a glorious and everlasting home prepared by God. It encourages perseverance and renewed faith in God’s promises.
This Hausa gospel medley is my way of sharing inspiration, encouragement, and worship through music. This write-up was prepared with the help of ChatGPT to clearly express the inspiration behind the songs. I am grateful for platforms like AfriTunes that celebrate original African sounds and expressions of faith. Special appreciation goes to the AfriTunes community, leaders, curators, and rewarders for their constant support and encouragement.
